The SS Darino.

On this day, the British cargo steamer SS Darin was torpedoed and sunk.

The Darino, 1,351 tons and built in 1917, was on route from Oporto for Liverpool carrying a cargo of port wine, 1600 tons sardines, and tin ore she was torpedoed by U-41 and sunk. 16 crew were lost.
