Germany and Estonia agree resettlement of Baltic Germans

The governments of Germany and Estonia today settled on an agreement which allows Germans living in the Baltic to relocate.

The Germans-speaking citizens, who currently live in the Baltic area of Europe, will be relocated to Western Poland, an area which is now controlled by Germany.

The relocation is part of a wider plan by Nazi Germany to move all German-speaking people into its expanding borders.
